Glitter Love!!!

things are... by Sun Glitters
This track could easily be called something along the lines of Ominous Summer or Sunny Death, or something of that nature. You get the point. Beautifully textured and masterfully executed this most recent offering from Luxembourg's finest Sun Glitters is exquisite in all its forms. From his website comes the following "Sun Glitters sound is an ocean of lush melodies, pitch-shifted vocal samples, ghostly digi-diva choirs, warm bass melodies driven by alternately dense and relaxing beatwork combinations between downtempo and wonky beats" You can check out his website here. Wolf digs it at 8/10!!!!

Quick!!!!

Dj Quick - So Compton (featuring BlaKKazz K.K.)
Check out this joint fresh form Dj Quick's brand spanking new album The Book of David. From what I have heard of the Album it seems Dj Quick is reverting to a somewhat tried and tested sound. From reports of the Album (as i have not listened to the whole thing), however, Quick is venturing into what was previously uncharted territory for him. The Wolf is diggin this track right here though. In the face of Dr. Dre's soon to drop (flop) Detox, it's nice to hear something that may indeed fill whatever desire was abundant to hear some chill smooth beats with some good old school flow. The Wolfcries a decent 7/10 and expects that to grow on further listening if the album does indeed live up to some of the reviews.

Wooned off my feet . . .

I'm thinking, if my memory serves me well, that I caught Jamie Woon rockin his stuff at Electric Picnic in 2009. To be quite honest I wasn't all that impressed. But this track, and most notably this here remix by Mr. Hudson Mowhawke is really groovin. Bit of a Timberland vibe on this one but Hudson's mark is unmistakable and I think what is really selling it for me. Maybe next time I get the chance to check out Mr Woon I'll give him more of a hearing! 8/10 on the Wolfometer!!!! Check the original here

New Sole release!!!!

Yoni Wolf of WHY? and Alias Team Up for a Remix of Sole and the Skyrider Band’s “Hello Cruel World” from the forthcoming album of the same name. Diggin this I am more than the original. Lyrical prowess and sentiment the Wolf sympathies with most deff!!!! 7/10 on the Wolf scale. Check out the original here

James Vincent gets Slung!!!!

James Vincent McMorrow - If I Had A Boat (Star Slinger Remix)
I know this has been around for some time, however, hitherto, the Wolf had not set his ears to its auditory excellence. I am a fan of James Vincent McMorrow, and even more so of Star Slinger, so to see and hear such a well executed remix of If I Had a Boat does indeed bring me pleasure. It's a bit like the pleasure I derive from laying on my back with my paws to the four winds whilst some other forest dweller scratches my belly. What I am trying to say is that the transduction of these sounds combined , through my sense organs and into my brain, make for a warm fuzzy feeling throughout. You trigger the right chemicals in me guys and for that the Wolf thanks you!!!! Wolfcries and cries a gigantic 9/10. For more on McMorrow check here and Star Slinger here

New Puritans!!!!!

Lofticries by PURITY RING
I really cant tell you very much about this producer only that you can check he/she out on their soundcloud here. I like this track though. There is a whole "what it says on the tin" job going on here and although I normally fall for the more grittier end of things the loftiness of the vocal on the track does  bring pleasure to my ears erected!!!! Wolfcries a decent 6.5/10!!!! Do be sure to revel!!! Oh and i just now noticed the wolfcries lofticries correlation. We must be twins or some shit. That is just weird guys!!!!!

right brain left brain collaberation!!!!!

JohnMartyn-CallMeCrazy-FybeRemix by Fybe:one
Two of the Wolf's great loves combine in blissfull fornicatory emancipation, freed from the shackles of the marriage of convention, radiant is their seed. This beautiful track from Fybe:One stimulates the theta waves and drags whomever may be listening into its throngs where to pulse. John Martyn and minimal glitch, coupled by the South London based producer Greg Haynes aka Fybe:One. You can dig Greg here, and in the spirit of all things wonderful, the track below is one of my all time favorites from John Martyn himself, featuring the great Danny Thompson on double bass. 8/10 the Wolf cries!!!!!
Anneka - 'Technicolor' - Mute Speaker Remix
This is a remix of Moscow based Anneka's Technicolor by Brighton based producer & DJ Rob O'Hara(aka Mute Speaker). New album 'Smart Bomb' avaliable now on Bandcamp, 'pay what your like' deal. You can hit him up for remix work, production or collaborations here. This guy is really great, working on the darker edge of the scale, and altough quite glitchy at times, he keeps it quite minimal and groovin. The Wolf digs this shit 7.5/10!!!! Here is the album sampler from his current release Smart Bomb

It can be a problem!!!! Quiet!!!!

Long Arm - When Children Sleep
From Project Mooncircle artist Long Arm, comes this track off the album "The Branches". "'The Branches' album is a reflection of a world, where human feelings and natural powers are bound together. Everything is correlated in this world. There is no alive-dead distinction. The season change depends just on state of mind. Every move, every wind breath, every sound brings an information, opened for everyone who believes and ready to accept it, who hears and knows how to listen".Indeed not the wolfs words but from the press release put out with the album. It's the minimalist approach to what could be described as a restrictive narrative that appeals to me in this track. Songwriting with samples. Interpretation through interpretation to produce something that both involves and forgets. A truly wonderful track and well worth 7.5/10 on the wolfscale!!!! Check out more and buy the album here http://projectmooncircle.bandcamp.com/album/the-branches

Back with a Banger!!!

An album dropping pretty soon and whatnot should keep your fickle blog trawling attentions fixated for a little . . .

Dry that river!!!

Dry The River - Bible Belt
Been following these guys for a while since I first lay my eyes upon this beautiful video, big up to the folks at http://www.youtube.com/user/watchlistentell for always producing the most seductive of videos. Anywhich, keep an eye out for Dry The River, as I imagine, having appeared on the likes of BBC Introducing, they will be at a festival or venue near you rather soon. Unless of course you live in West Kerry, where you will probably have to mount the horse and get going about now to catch them at the picnic in September. Sorry West Kerry, although if you are from that part of the world you will not be reading this, unless of course you have moved a little closer to us (as we move a little further away) and you now can concur with this Wolfrant. Wolfcries 7/10 yall . . .If you want to keep up to date with Dry The River you can do that here - http://www.drytheriver.com/music/  WINNING!!!!!

From Russia with love . . .

Moa Pillar - Water Lilly
Who knew they were absolutely rocking it in Russia these days. Seems like all that extra wheat is going to good use. I must admit, I am not all that familiar with the sounds of Moa Pillar, but whilst on the hunt for something new from my old friend Lapti, I stumbled upon (without any help from stumbleupon) this guy, or girl as the case may be. Do lap up the auditory stimulation and get down with the eastern beats . . . Wolf loves it 7.5/10!!! Here is a link to Moa's Soundcloud might one be interested - http://soundcloud.com/moapillar

Young Montana? Indeed. .

Tawiah - Sweet Me (Young Montana? Remix) by Young Montana?
The wolf cries but has you coming back again and again. Will you ever learn? This talented young producer I believe deserves the first utterings from the Wolf's keyboard. The following extract is ripped from his website to save my paws anymore hard graft. "Young Montana? aka Jon Pritchard of Coventry, UK was hand-plucked into the insiders' spotlight after BBC Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs called him out as her 'Favorite Unsigned Artist of 2010.' Mixes followed for the BBC and Andrew Meza's BTS Radio, and Young Montana?" rocks!!! The rocks bit was my addition. This young man is making a name for himself it would appear and I am more than happy to present him here for you. . .8/10  ENJOY!!!!! You will find all relevant data here guys - www.youngmontana.com
